Meet SEP

SEP Quartet

::

Allen Gasper

Allen Gasper (lead) is a former professional opera singer with Masters Degree in Voice. Allen is a renowned attorney in the Colorado Springs area, although we don’t hold that against him. He is a Certified Judge in the Singing Category and is a member of the Heart of Texas Chapter. Allen is the quartet’s only bona fide “Cajun”.

Scott McCarthyScott McCarthy (tenor) has recently joined the quartet and gives them an “international" flair as he hails from Toronto, Canada. Not only is Scott the youngest and best looking member of the quartet (or so he says!), but he is also the shortest. Scott is a former member and founder of the Toronto Northern Lights Chorus and currently is an assistant director and sound coach for Toronto's MegaCity Chorus. Scott brings a new and wonderful dimension to SEP.

Bobby Gray, Jr

Bobby Gray Jr. (baritone) is also a resident of Colorado Springs. He is a certified judge in the Presentation Category, as well as an internationally respected coach and director; however, he is probably better known for winning a gold medal playing “Harpo” with the New Tradition Quartet in 1985. Bobby works in the legal profession with Allen, is a certified massage therapist, and serves as the contact for the quartet. Bobby is also a member of the Heart of Texas Chapter.

Tom WilkieTom Wilkie (bass) sang for over a decade with the Most Happy Fellows (1977 International Gold Medalists), where he played the part of the Cowardly Lion in The Haps’ famous "Wizard of Oz" routine. Tom recently moved to Colorado Springs from the Seattle area and is a warehouse crew chief for Entegris, Inc. Tom is also a skilled director and coach. And did we mention he can hit low notes to which the other guys in the quartet can only point?!? Tom is a member of the Harmony Kings Chapter in Federal Way, WA.
